This card, Perimeter Captain, would be beneficial in a defensive or control-oriented deck that focuses on stalling the game and gaining life. It could work well in a white weenie or lifegain deck, providing a steady stream of life gain whenever your defender creatures block. However, there are better options available such as Wall of Omens which draws a card upon entering the battlefield, providing more value. Overall, Perimeter Captain could see play in a casual or budget deck, but may not be the most competitive choice in more optimized strategies.
