Wakedancer would be beneficial in a black-based midrange or control deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or trading creatures in combat to trigger the morbid ability consistently. While Wakedancer is a solid card for generating additional value, there are potentially better options like Bloodghast or Gravecrawler that offer more immediate impact or recursion potential.
