Introduction

The Eternal ranked queue will be available from December 3rd onward! Because of how slow PvP is at the moment, many decks are not being explored or even built, so many players are obviously a bit lost and still don't understand this Eternal ranked meta.

So, we decided to bring you 5 lists that will probably be extremely strong in Eternal and even dominate the meta next season. I'll go through each one of them, and show you why they are so strong.

Seraphine Ezreal & Viktor - Catastrophe

This is one of the most complex, most difficult-to-pilot lists in the entire game. To pilot it well, you need to play cards that create random cards perfectly.

Despite how complicated it is, it has enough resources to beat any meta list. However, with this list, you can't make mistakes. If you misplay, even if only slightly, you'll lose the game on the spot.

The main idea is to adapt to the match as it goes on by removing enemy units and creating value and resources in your hand, until you can find a way to finish the game.

To do that, you can use Purrsuit of Perfection, or level 2 Ezreal. In a few cases, you can even use level 2 Viktor.

This list is incredible because it has great matchups against everything in the meta, and can overcome any obstacle in its way.

If you like a challenge, don't necessarily want to climb fast, and like "outplaying" your opponent, this deck is perfect for you.

Thresh Nasus - Anti-Aggro Shadow Isles Aggro

The Eternal meta is either incredibly fast, or incredibly slow. This means that you'll either end the match in a few turns, or spend an hour trying to win it. The best list for both of these situations is Thresh Nasus.

This deck is extremely fast and can win matches in just a few turns. It is also the fastest deck in the format if you get really lucky with your mulligan. However, its strength comes from the fact it is one of the best decks to beat other aggressive decks, particularly Azir Irelia, the most popular deck in Eternal.

You don't need to worry about control matchups either: this list doesn't mind losing units, considering this will level up your Thresh. If you manage to level up Nasus as well, your opponents will struggle to remove him because of his Spellshield.

Not to mention, this deck includes Rite of Negation, Glimpse Beyond, and many other spells that are great against direct removals.

Atrocity is still one of the best finishers in the entire game, and, in this list, you don't need a complex setup with it to win matches because of how fast and synergistic it is.

This is the best list I can recommend if you want to climb ranks fast. It is an extremely competitive, fail-proof list that only loses to itself.

The Elder Dragon Matron Combo - Ramp

This is the most absurdly powerful, fail-proof version of the Elder Dragon archetype. It has the best deckbuilding LoR has ever seen, and might just be one of the best decks of all time.

The main idea is to first accelerate your mana with ramp spells. Then, you just need to use Spectral Matron to copy a Cithria, Lady of Clouds and summon her onto your board. This will double the stats of all your units in play.

This combo, on its own, already beats half of the meta decks. However, this list goes beyond, and includes other ways to win matches depending on the matchup.

You can, for instance, Obliterate your aggro opponent's whole board and hand with She Who Wanders.

You can also Obliterate your midrange opponent's entire board and put them in Frozen Tomb landmarks with Buried In Ice. Then, you can destroy them with It That Stares.

You can also use Heisho, Shell of the World's effect to play huge cards for free. This way, eventually, you'll be able to play the Watcher and Obliterate your control opponent's deck completely.

With this list, the sky is the limit.

You can also remove landmarks with Scholarly Pioneer and use one of the many removals in this list to clear the board.

If you want to climb ranks, make your opponent question all their life choices and stress them out, this list is perfect for you!

Norra Swain - Anti-Azir Irelia Noxus Control

If you don't want to play Nasus Thresh, but you're still struggling against Azir Irelia, this is your second-best option for the ranked queue.

This list is a natural evolution of the Noxus Control archetype. It fused with "Ping City" and Portal decks and became this incredible control/combo list that is perfect to beat aggro decks.

The main game plan is to exhaust your opponent's resources by removing absolutely anything they play on the board. At the same time, you'll put Norra's Portals in your deck and eventually level up your Swain.

You'll win the match with a nice, unblocked attack with level 2 Swain, or multiple random units. It is simple, yet very modern and timeless because of Norra's Portals, which summon cards from every set ever released. And it is stronger than ever this season because of the high power-level of the new cards.

One tip I can give you for this list is: don't play all your cards at once because you'll run out of resources fast, and your deck can't really draw cards efficiently. Instead, skip one or two turns and wait for the right time to remove a few of your opponent's key units.

This list rewards players who know the meta well and know the win conditions in every deck. That's because, if you spend your resources removing units that are not win conditions, you'll run out of cards fast.

I recommend this list if you enjoy casual matches that don't have many highs and lows. Your matches will most likely end on turn 8 or 9.

Annie Jhin - The Classic

The Eternal ranked meta is many times dominated by a new midrange invention that beats all aggro and control decks out of nowhere. However, Annie Jhin will always be there to put a stop to these alleged broken decks. It is the last fortress to prevent absurd midrange lists from controlling the entire meta.

This deck does not lose to any "board-focused" deck, or strategies that invest all their resources on a few units. On its own, Annie Jhin prevents Demacia, Targon, and even some Shurima midrange lists from dominating the meta.

This list has been closed for a few years, and is still one of the best decks in the entire game.

It is the number 1 deck I recommend if you already enjoy aggro decks, fast matches, and want to climb ranks as fast as possible.
