Introduction

During November and December, LoR will have its focus shifted to the World Championship, but those who think that we won't have new cards during this period are just plain wrong! In December the last chapter of The Darkin Saga will come, and with it 3 new champions will be released in the game and also the second part of the Corrupted event, which comes with a new pass and skins with this theme too!

But what everyone wants to know is which will be the new champions. Two of them are quite on the nose and we've even had clues about them in cards from the previous expansions, but the third champion has got everyone scratching their heads. However, I have the info on who will be the third champion and I will reveal it exclusively to you.

The 3 last LoR champions in 2022

Aatrox

This one is a secret to no one, isn't it? It is obvious that Aatrox couldn't stay out of the Darkin Saga and this champion has even been seen in the card art for Joraal. Aatrox will be a Runeterra champion and it is quite likely that his origin will be just like Kayn's and Varus', in which it is possible to put all Cultist cards in your deck during deckbuilding, but as Kayn focuses on units and Varus focuses on spells, it is possible that Aatrox will work with another category. All that's left are landmarks and equipment, so which are you betting on?

We still don't have details about this champion, but one thing is certain: many players are asking and waiting for him since the Darkin Saga was announced, so I believe Aatrox may come even more "broken" than his Darkin companions, as both Varus and Kayn were overshadowed by other champions in their release.

Kayle

Another champion that many want to see in LoR and that will finally come to the game is Kayle. Most people (including me) wanted to see her come in with her twin sister Morgana, but unfortunately this won't happen, but I won't dismiss the arrival of Morgana to LoR in 2023.

Well, now the focus is Kayle, so let's go back to talking about her. She will be based in Targon and we've already had her being spoiled with the card Celestial Impact, which is basically a reproduction of Kayle's League Ultimate.

The information I had is that she will work around equipment, which makes a lot of sense, as the sword Kayle uses in other games is quite important for the progress of this champion, be it in lore, or even in her gameplay.

Poro King

Okay, I know what you all must be wondering: "Poro King? What?!"

This was the first reaction I had when my source told me that the third champion in this expansion would be this so-called Poro King. I confess I even thought the person was trolling me, but as this information came from a very trusted source, it is very likely that it is true, however we will have to wait and see if it is real.

For those who know League, you probably know who the Poro King is. He used to appear in a very old game mode called Legend of the Poro King, which used to be a part of the Snowdown Showdown Event in League. Besides this game mode, Poro King used to appear as a reward in another very popular game mode among League players, Nexus Blitz. To finish, Poro King even had a feature in the Ruined King game.

Poro King's case is very similar to Norra's, in the sense that we knew about its existence, but they weren't in any game yet as a champion, and she came to LoR as an exclusive champion. The devs have already talked about how they planned to bring many more exclusive champions to LoR, so from now on this will be very common.

Regarding Poro King I didn't get any details about its mechanic, but I reckon it will be a Runeterra champion and it will have an origin in which it will be possible to put all Poro cards in your deck during deckbuilding. Will King Poro be responsible for putting Poros back into the meta once and for all? I really hope so!
