Firdoch Core would fit best in a tribal (“Kindred”) deck that cares about having specific creature types on the battlefield, since Changeling makes it every creature type at once—meaning it can enable cards like Herald’s Horn, Vanquisher’s Banner, Cavern of Souls, or tribal lords and payoff cards in Commander (such as Reaper King, The Ur-Dragon, or any five-color tribal shell); it’s especially appealing in slower, multiplayer formats where flexibility matters.
